According to the Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE) a child is 50 percent less likely to abuse an inhalant if an adult has spoken to them about the dangers of inhalant abuse. This March, ACE will help adults nationwide to educate children about these dangers through National Inhalants & Poisons Awareness Week (NIPAW) activities.
NIPAW is a community level program that takes place the third week in March to highlight inhalant abuse prevention and poison prevention measures. Developed in 1992 by the National Inhalant Prevention Coalition, NIPAW is an extension of National Poison Prevention Week.
