Diversified CPC International Receives Company of the Year Award

Diversified CPC International (DCPC) received the Sumitomo Corporation of Americas’ (SCOA) highest recognition at their annual 2017 Group Meeting in New York City. The meeting included top executives from nearly 60 companies in North and South America who are part of the SCOA conglomerate. The President’s Award, which signifies the year’s top-performing company in the group’s portfolio, was presented to DCPC President and CEO Bill Auriemma by SCOA Chief Executive Officer Shingo Ueno at the annual meeting’s closing dinner.

SCOA is the largest subsidiary of the Sumitomo Corporation, a world-leading global and investment trading company. According to company officials, Diversified CPC is one of the oldest companies in SCOA’s portfolio, which stretches across a broad range of energy and transportation industries, with a United States workforce of more than 40,000 employees who develop, produce, and distribute goods and services to domestic and international customers.

“Sumitomo takes a long-term view of things, which is important considering upturns and downturns in the market. This way of thinking has been a real benefit to our relationship,” Auriemma said. “Even more, SCOA has supported our efforts to reinvest profits right back into the business in order to grow the company. As a result, we have doubled the number of people we employ, added new facilities, and quadrupled our revenues.”

“I am very proud to accept this award on behalf of everyone throughout the company,” Auriemma continued. “It is a testament to the hard work of the entire DCPC team and validates the strategic plan we put in place and have been successfully executing. This consistent refinement of business processes, to better anticipate and respond to changing customer requirements, is how DCPC has gained an enviable reputation in all market segments in which we participate.”

“Further, by establishing measurable quality objectives, communicating these objectives throughout the organization, and providing adequate resources to achieve the objectives, the company has been able to maintain a leading position in the industry for over 50 years. Moving forward, we are excited about the future and the opportunity to provide our services, resources, and technology to meet the challenges and demands for a greener tomorrow,” Auriemma concluded.
